hey everyone...

I'm expecting to hear regarding the begining stages of my financial growth within this company. I was told yesterday that I'm looking at a raise over $1 per hour but less than $3.50 per hour. I'm probably looking at $1-$2 per hour. Please keep energy flowing that I get the best possible financial raise as possible (anything over the $2 per hour loses my state benefits).

Thanks for keeping me close in thought, prayer, and hearts.

Hey guys...

I probably will need some suggestions on where to go for help.

My stepson was enrolled in Rockwall Independent School District for
a brief time (6 weeks maybe). And he had a series of absences... 1
day because of a PE back injury, 4 days of illness, and 4 days
because I had business to conduct in CO and he utilized the time for
parental visitation.

When we arrived back to TX (Monday) there was a letter stating that
I needed to have additional shots taken care of by Friday. I called
the school to try and get an extension because we just arrived back
from CO and I didn't know any place to get his shots (the list they
gave me doesn't take Medicaid) but was working on it. I was told
that if his shots weren't done by Friday that he wouldn't be allowed
into school. On Monday, I called in an absence because I couldn't
get him into any place to get his shots. I was told that I had to
find a doctor, get his shots, and get him into school or I'd be
reported to the Truancy Board. I then asked what needed to be done
in order to unenroll him because we'd be homeschooling him.

The following morning, I called the counselor and asked her to get
his paperwork and stuff from PE together because I'd be in during my
lunch break. I was put in a meeting with the school principal and
DJs counselor when I arrived. I was asked to give them 24 hours
before making up my mind because they wanted to help me get his
shots and get him back into school. I did that and after discussing
it with his father (who lives in CO) and his father discussing it
with his mother (who lives in CO) we all decided to pull him from
the public school.

I went back to the school to sign the paperwork and get his stuff. I
was told that I wasn't allowed to unenroll him. They faxed the
paperwork to his father in CO and my dh sent the unenrollment sheet
back with a "CO" notation where they indicated that he'd be
homeschooled.

My mom took a phone message from the school principal Friday evening
indicating that they're expecting DJ in school on Monday (tomorrow)
because their homeschool inquiries were not turned in. It's my
understanding that it's a packet which asks what curriculum we're
using, where we purchased the curriculum and when, they want copies
of any booklets we use as curriculum, etc etc. They never called his
father to discuss this with him.

The principal is trying to play one parent against the other. When
she spoke to my dh on the phone she took it in another room and shut
the door. That royally upsets me to no end.

They also lied stating they sent the immunization letter on Sept.
23rd... my envelope (which the school now has) had a post mark of
October 1 (the same day we left for CO).

So, everyone has instructions not to answer the phone or go to the
gate if anyone arrives. I'm just afraid this is going to become a
bloody battle (I homeschool 1 other child of compulsary school age).

Any suggestions?

and probably filing a complaint with the school board and cc'ing it to the school on Monday. They told me that I can't pull DJ out of school so Ed spent 4 hours getting their paperwork together (deliberately not filling out their stupid homeschooling information packet) in order to unenroll him.

They decide to call me (remember they said I can't unenroll him "because you're not a legal guardian or parent") and leave a message with my mom that they expect DJ to be in school on Monday. WTF?!?!?!?! They have unenrollment papers from his FATHER.... and his mother told him to have me go kick their asses (lovely woman that one is).

So, I'll be writing a letter stating that I am unable to enroll him or unenroll him and, therefore, can not be legally held responsible for any truancy efforts the school attempts to pull. At this point, as far as I'm concerned we're following CO state law on the homeschooling since that's where he's legally allowed residency (because both his parents are there) and TX unenrollment requirements have been fulfilled.

I'm afraid I have another fight on my hands...
just to fucking take care of my kids in the best way possible. Fuck them! I know how to play this game... I'm not his parent and, therefore, can not make decisions regarding his care or whereabouts and as far as anyone is concerned he'll be in CO by Monday.

I'm homeschooling 3 kids again. I'm not certain what type of backlash it'll have with the bio-mother of my stepson but we'll deal with that when it happens.

DJ has been absent 10 days so far this year. 1 for a back injury he suffered in PE, 4 for illness, 4 for our last trip to CO, and 1 because when we got back last week there was a notice stating that we had until Friday to get his shots up to date (which I was told had been done prior to leaving CO). I called the school on Friday and was denied any type of extension and I was told that the shots needed to be done or DJ wouldn't be allowed back into school. I called today because the list of places they gave me doesn't work with our insurance and the number I was given through that list is a wrong number. I called today to let them know he wasn't going to be there and I was basicly told that either he got the shots TODAY or we'd be turned into the truancy dept whether the absences were excused or not (which they are). I guess that explains my concerns from this summer... it's 10% of the school days attended whether the absences are excused or unexcused.

I'm not putting up with that shit!

Plus, I'll have more time to spend with ALL the kids without having to spend my evenings tutoring DJ on his math. I'll just make sure we make good use of our evenings and weekends. Now the kids can go to bed late and sleep in so we're not missing so much of each others' time.

Nothing much else happened today... lots of work.

I get out of work tomorrow at 2:00. I'll be home by about 4:30 if anyone has a chance to call.

I need activities that the kids can do on their own that are educational.

My work schedule is absolutely crazy!

So, now I'm attempting to homeschool 2 kids, work full time, mow 3 acres of land, cook dinner nightly, etc etc and something has to give. Unfortunately, it's the homeschooling that seems to be taking a rest at the moment.

So, I'm looking for something in the 5-8 age range. Reading is the major problem right now. I know they make books with computer thingies (yes I'm using the technical term here) in them and the kids run a special pen across to "read" the words. I'm going to be looking into those for sure.

I'm just at a loss....
and public school still doesn't look like a good option to me.

I got new tires put on the car today. Unfortunately, as I was driving it home it was making a weird noise when I applied the breaks. Yep... I need new breaks and the old ones are gouging the rotors. So, Ed will be doing a break job first thing in the morning and then I need to haul ass to TX.

I also have a $186 repair bill waiting for me. My lawn mower decided that it really didn't want to work for me before I left. So, I ended up stopping at a little shop down the street from me and asked them to pick it up and fix it while I was gone. I'm hoping they've done more to it than replace a belt.

Then, I need to get tags on my car. It's a good thing I got that extension and don't need to continue spending my paychecks on trying to save the car. It appears there are plenty of things waiting to break and needing my paychecks to care for them.

I should be sleeping. I'm not quite ready yet... almost.

All of my stuff is out of the house (or at least everything I can think of). Most of the kids' stuff is out... there's a box or two of toys left but nothing major. Now, if the guys flake off and leave the rest of it there then it's their problem. I do need the filing cabinet out of the garage but that better get out or I'll be kicking some ass. Paperwork has my signature on it. I'm done... wash my hands of it.

Final thing to worry about is the $4000 we owe on the soft water system. Hopefully, I can take care of that before they figure out where I'm working and attach my wages.

I'll write when I arrive in TX.

Good night everyone!

Well... the drive to CO was more pleasant than normal. I had BreeAnna and DJ and the Blazer so I'm certain that helped. The drive home will not be so pleasant... I'll be adding a child and taking the Camaro back home.

I have the Camaro out of danger of being repossessed. Keeping the lienholder in the dark regarding employment and home locations paid off this time.

I signed the paperwork giving the house back to the lienholder today. Ed will be needing to sign it next week once I'm back in TX and everything is out of there. I've been working my butt off the past couple of days. I've got most of the house cleaned out. I'm hoping it'll be done tomorrow before I leave for TX but whatever the guys end up leaving stays there. Ed has until Tuesday or Wednesday to get it done. Then the house will be done with.

The last major financial thing in my name is a $4000 lien for a soft water system. Hopefully, I can work on getting that taken care of come the 1st of the year. Right now, I'm taking care of getting cars registered, insured, and running. I'm also paying $200 to have my riding lawnmower fixed so I can mow the forest I call a yard.

Scott ended up letting the house payments fall behind. So, we're 2 payments behind on those. My checks will be going towards that as well.

But hey! Life is looking up. At least, I have a plan for digging all of us out of this hole. I just hope everything goes ok with Ed's trial in January.

For me, the holiday season starts with Halloween. I start my religious observances after taking the kids out for trick or treating or what-have-you. I'm not certain what we'll be doing in December as of yet. I'd love to be in CO for Drumming Up The Sun but I'm not sure I can get the time off work. I also think the rest of the family would like to spend Yule in TX. DJ needs to be in CO for Christmas so we'll see what we can work out.

Jaz: I'll give you a call mid-morning. I still want to kidnap the kids... unless, you want to join us :D I'm thinking McD's and a big enough cake to serve everyone there.... if they'll let us take a cake in.

Ok... life has been a whirlwind lately.

The guys have gone and have taken Conner with them. Conner is having a blast spending time just with the men in the house. I know he's been needing someone's one-on-one attention and I'm not able to give it right now. Life is so much calmer when there are no men in the house (boys are ok... just the men need some assistance).

My General Manager has been terminated. The people at work were going around singing "Ding Dong the witch is dead" so that tells you what type of work environment was at the office.

Our office was informed that we'd be moving to Greenville in October. It now looks like my immediate supervisor and I may be going to our warehouse location which is close to home AND... there's a Budhist Temple right next door.

My paycheck seems to be getting bigger... I guess that's what happens when you work more hours.

I think I probably have a 3 month extension granted on my car which means I can stop worrying about it being repossessed. They want me to call them before they'll extend the extension. I've already gave them the requested information so hopefully there won't be any hidden glitches. I tried to call Friday but ended up having to leave a voicemail.

I think I also have my house stuff taken care of. Our lienholder hired my former boss to handle the foreclosure. At first, I was really mad that he hired my former boss but then I realized it was probably beneficial to me because at least my former boss will talk to me like a human being. I'll be in CO next week cleaning the house out, signing paperwork, and taking care of business.

While I'm in CO, we'll be celebrating Bree's 5th birthday. Jaz has already said I'd be able to steal her kids away for a little while to let the kids get together for that. Hopefully, Jaz and I get time to go to coffee or something while we're there too.

And last but not least, I got to go to Pagan Pride Day today!!!! I also met the folks from OCC including Meghan, badkitty, and oh man! I forgot her name... it'll come to me though (I'm sorry, I'm really bad with names). I think I've met a group of people I can really get along with. OCC is really focused on being family oriented which is what I'm looking for. It'll take me about an hour to get there but it'll be worth so it.

I'm starting to worry about Bree. She's been upchucking a lot lately. Out of nowhere she'll spit up or literally just start having a problem. I'm going to try and get her into a doctor soon.

Yesterday, I dyed a bunch of clothes that were stained up. The dye was here from the previous owners so I thought I'd see if I could save some of the clothes. I'm happy with the results. I think I'll be buying some additional colors. I have a white outfit that I bought for when I went to TN. It has a small stain on it so I'm thinking of dying it an orange/red in order to use it for ritual.

My finance company on my car finally decided to use the email address I provided them. They're telling me I have to make a payment NOW instead of next week if I want to keep my car. Hmmm.... come and find it if you can. Otherwise, you'll accept my payment next week when I get paid. I have a friend checking into the legalities to see what I'm in my legal rights to do.

Then there's work. Oh, I'm having sooooo much fun /sarcasm. I'm currently locating information that allows invoices to get paid and that Liz has refused to provide. I've ran into a couple of companies that don't want to provide the information without going through Liz (which is causing eyebrows to be raised). One of the companies seemed to get nervous when I called to check the status of my receiving the information. They said that they had spoken with Liz and she said she'd get me the info. I told them that my directive is coming from someone higher than Liz and since she hasn't provided me with the info that I still need them to send it to me. I offered to let them speak with my supervisor and gave them his name. I promptly received a call from Liz to inform me that she is still above my supervisor and that she will provide the necessary info... she was hot! I never said my directive came from my supervisor. I was in the office by myself this afternoon and I was rather nervous about that after that particular phone call.

I was asleep earlier tonight. Bree woke me up and then E came in to get my help. He never cleaned off the counter from dinner and it had gotten invaded by ants. I don't think I'll ever understand the inability to handle things on his own.

Good night everyone! I'm going to try and rest again.

The tv had been left on from Ed falling asleep the night before. I woke up as the news was showing the 1st plane hit the towers. It took me a couple of minutes to digest what I just watched... what channel is this anyways? I realized it was the NEWS just before the second tower got hit.

I watched in disbelief for about an hour and then started calling the guys to check on the status of our ammo stock. Yes, that was my first concern. I found out we were a little short (this is a perspective statement here) on some of the supply. I made sure we had enough of the smaller hitting stuff so if the kids and I got separated in a war zone that we'd have what we needed. I then went and bought hiking boots for all the kids including Bree. I packed the car with food, 3 days worth of clothes, blankets, and whatever else I could think of to help us survive. I was convinced that we were going to war and our streets were going to be a battle zone.

Ed called extended family and came up with a meeting place in the mountains that we all knew how to get to. Scott called his family as well. My family... well, my family would've thought I flipped a noodle. I waited for word or evidence that it was time to leave. All the while, I tried to make sure that the kids were playing and doing normal stuff while keeping them inside or outback... explaining that it wasn't safe to play out front (especially, with toy guns) today.

I know I'm probably a freak to many. I label my family as a survivalist family without being overly so. 9/11/01 was the top of that militia mentality for me.

The months following that day is what ended up hurting my family. The tail of the "Teddy Bear Bomber" flashed on the news screen just as Conner walked into my room. He had nightmares for months and talked with his counselor for just as long because he was afraid that all stuffed animals would explode at some point.

We've tried to move on and lead normal lives again. For the most part, we've accomplished that. Except, now I live on property that I would never leave in the case of war. My home would be "home base" for relatives.

I plan on learning to can my own foods and keep a stock on hand. I have more access to storage for water supplies, etc.

This country will never forget!

Friday, E and I went out for dinner and explored the neighborhood. The new neighborhood is somewhat on par to Palos Verdes in CA. I'm quite lucky to have found a home in a reasonable price range here. The neighbor behind me has a home about 1.5 million dollars and the property next to mine actually encompasses 2 homes in the amount of $599k. This poses problems within itself... I'm definately not in the same class of some of these "rich" folks.

Saturday was spent lounging around the house.

Sunday, I took the kids to a Pow-Wow. I bought some corn soup and fry bread. The kids ended up buying some toys because where we ended up going was connected to a very large flea market. That really sucked because by the time we found the Pow-Wow we were hot and tired. We ended up leaving fairly quickly.

We were about 10 minutes from one of the local Pagan shops. It was a quaint shop. The owner's wife used to run the shop. Her passing left what seems to be a shell of a shop that her husband tries to keep running. They used to have classes, etc. No more. The husband said there's 1 other shop that I can try but not to expect too much from any of the shops or the community at large. He also strongly urged me to keep my tattoo covered.

I don't get it! I'm used to living in areas where there's a wide display of diversity. Places where one is encouraged to shout from the roof tops about what makes them different from the rest of the world. I'm not about to start hiding now.

I will eventually find what I'm looking for... or maybe my search will lead me into the dark corners that I haven't experienced yet. One thing's for sure... I'm not going to sit here and become part of the scenery.

Yes! I've been in training for 2 days regarding Work Orders, POs, payroll, etc.

The GM has been circumventing procedures regarding all of the above. I pretty much know this program but sat in the training as part of my job. One of the other people in the training is a Special Operations Manager. Because of the training, this person started asking questions... I just happened to save all my paperwork on projects that I've been given (I make copies of *everything*). So, I had copies of all the POs that I've created. When the topic came to invoices we brought out a stack of invoices that have no PO... well, at least not that accounting has been given. The vendor received a PO (don't know where that came from... except she's manually creating them). So, I got on the phone and requested the information regarding the "misplaced" PO and the vendor was happy to email a copy to my boss... too bad it's what we're calling a PO Requisition Form that she's utilizing as a full blown PO since she created it saying it's a PO (which it's not). Somebody is in trouble. She hired the wrong person...

anyways, I'm taking tomorrow off and am going to take the kids to the library. Then tomorrow evening, E and I are going to browse some of the local Pagan shops... FINALLY!

I don't have much planned for the weekend so I should be online. Most likely, I'll be cleaning house.
